Today, I would like to introduce a famous salt tsukemen (dipping noodles) restaurant in Yotsuya 3-chome.

While fish and pork bone tsukemen is the mainstream, there are also a certain number of places that offer salt tsukemen.

Among them, a representative shop is Tomoka. The shop is not only located in Yotsuya 3-chome, but also in Akasaka, with Yotsuya Sanchome being the main branch.

The interior of the shop is clean, with only a counter.

Now, I ordered the recommended “salt tsukemen.”

The appearance of the soup is not like the dipping sauce of tsukemen, but rather like consomme soup. It is clear and beautiful.

Soup

Although you might think that the soup is salty from the name “salt tsukemen,” it is not. When mixed with the noodles, it has an elegant seasoning. Rather than being a salt-based soup, think of it as the soup from a delicious restaurant.

By the way, it is hard to drink the soup alone, so try eating it with the noodles or ask for soup-wari (soup diluted with water) after finishing the noodles.

The noodles that go well with the soup are of average thickness. You can eat a lot in one bite and match it with the salty soup, so you can eat it quickly.

Noodles

Rather than savoring it slowly, I was led by the appetizing taste and ate it quickly.

It is a different genre from the mainstream fish and pork bone tsukemen in recent years, but I think it is one of the top salt tsukemen places in Japan.

It is especially recommended for those who are not fond of thick soup or thick noodles.

Please try to experience the wide world of tsukemen.
